FAQ

Considerations moving to a cloud solution

How do I migrate data from my old system?

We have a lot of experience migrating data into SHARK. Contact us to see how it can be done.

What if I decide to leave SHARK? Can I take my data with me?

Of course! Your data is yours. On request you get a copy of the database containing all your data.

Where do my system actually run?

Logiware’s computing infrastructure is provided by Amazon Web Services, a secure cloud service platform. Amazon’s physical infrastructure has been accredited under ISO 27001, SOC 1/SOC 2/SSAE 16/ISAE 3402, PCI Level 1, FISMA Moderate, and Sarbanes-Oxley.

Can I trust my data is secure?

100% security can never be guranteed, but we are pretty close. We have designed a platform based on two duplicated Microsoft SQL Servers hosted on 2 different physical locations with automatic fail-over, this is better than most on-premise installations can provide. Each installation has its own database. Access to our infrastructure is tightly controlled and monitored. Logiware ensures that the data remains available through full, daily individually backups of each database at 02:00 - 03:00,retained for 30 days. Moreover the whole SQL Servers are backed up using daily snap-shots and the database transaction logs are backed up each 5 minuts.

Data for sharkwms.com is stored in EU and complies to GDPR.

Is SHARK a Single-Tenant solution?

Yes - With single tenancy, each customer has his or her own independent database and instance of the software. Essentially, there is no sharing happening. This also means that each customer may have individual versions and even customized.

What if my Internet connection die?

SHARK will not be able to run if there is no Internet connection, but then that is probably not the only problem you have!

I already have location adresses, can they be used?

SHARK is rather flexible regarding the layout of the location addresses, but put some constraint to the syntax and you can´t use any name you like, as it is possible in many ERP systems. Contact us to check this if it is an issue.
